Unexpected Drawback

Filed under: Personal,Urban Living — by teofilo @ 3:19 pm

It seems that the increase in physical activity caused by walking to work has increased the number of daily calories required by my diet to the point that the quantities of food I used to happily order for lunch are no longer sufficient to satisfy my hunger.  This is somewhat problematic.

  1. Eat more breakfast. Eggs and bread are cheap.

  2. I don’t like eggs, and haven’t been able to find good bread or bagels in this area, so I’ve actually been eating breakfast out for the past week or so. It’s been filling but quite expensive, and still doesn’t solve the problem; it’s not like I can eat a breakfast big enough that I won’t be hungry again five hours later.

  3. Trail mix, or just nuts, to keep in your desk and nibble on all day?

  5. Highly recommend keeping nuts and dried fruit at your desk; however, if you’re like me you might be better served by bringing a small baggie of nuts and fruit each day to prevent yourself from eating your entire supply in about ten minutes. Alternately, you might be able to exercise will power.
